RL’s revamping of its iconic blue and silver label meant elevating the product while maintaining its authenticity. Hence, for Pre Fall 2022’s Original Label we sought to revisit an old and timeless collection that Polo debuted several decades ago entitled “Chariots of Fire”. Originally this concept drew its aesthetic inspiration from the film “chariots of fire” in which olympic runners are seen running on the beaches of Scotland. Thus, this time round, when revamping the collection we were very mindful with our designs to maintain the same timelessly chic palette alongside with the right balance of distressing, weathering, and washing that we all fell in love with decades ago.
